Introduction
Vaccinology: Science and Public Health is a 5-day short course combined with a symposium held in Nagasaki, Japan. It is run jointly by the School of Tropical Medicine and Global Health, Nagasaki University and the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, in collaboration with the Nagasaki University Vaccine Research and Development Center (VRDC) – DEJIMA Infectious Disease Research Alliance and the Nagasaki University Global Health, World-leading Innovative & Smart Education programme (WISE).It includes didactic and interactive sessions and a symposium.

- The Symposium is included in the Course and is open to the public
- Anyone who do not attend the Course can join the Symposium for free, but independent application for the Symposium is required
- Students accepted to the Course will be automatically registered to the Symposium without independent application

Students who complete the entire course will be issued Certificate of CompletionEligibility
The course is designed for vaccine researchers and public health professionals who are involved in and/or interested in research, development, epidemiology, policy making, and implementation related to vaccines and immunisation. We encourage applications from Japan and all over the world.As the course is taught in English, students should have good English language ability, but it does not have to be perfect.

Travel and Visa
Visa
Students are responsible for obtaining any visa or other permissions to attend the course and are encouraged to start the application process as early as possible.The course administration can provide supporting documentation upon request.
Travel and accommodation
The course is run in Nagasaki which is a historic city and the capital city of Nagasaki Prefecture located in Kyushu island in Japan.Students need to manage travel and accommodation by themselves. Accommodation in Nagasaki generally can be booked through common booking websites. Nagasaki City has a tram network and the nearest tram stop from the campus is Atomic Bomb Museum (stop number 20), so accommodation along the tram network will be convenient.
