Div. of Health care Management and Policy
There are two majors in the division of Public Health sciences: Public Health and Health Care Management and Policy. Public Health sciences involve research related to the health statuses of target groups and related determinats as well as changes of these conditions of policy business planning and evaluations of the resulting effects.
Health Care Management and Policy
The Division of Health Care Management and Policy carries out specialized research on policy analysis and business management in the field of healthcare.
This division consists of eight majors: Health Economics; Health Sociology; Health Policy; Health Economics and Policy(Political Economy); Cities, Communities and Health Promotion; Aging Health Policy & Systems Research; Major in Health Care Organization and Health Communication and Global Health, Health Security and Law.
Major in Health Economics
- Research on the demand and supply of health care services, demand and supply of medical insurance, medical system and policies, etc.
- Economic analysis of the Healthcare Sector
- A Study for equal allocation of resources
Major in Health Sociology
- Analyzing health and disease issues linked to socioeconomic inequalities.
- Analyzing the behaviors and mindsets of key actors in health care and medical care using social variables such as institutions, class, culture, and social networks.
- Analyzing the social structures and their forces shaped by health, disease, health care, and medical care.
Major in Health Policy
The study on overall policies related to health and healthcare
The field of analyzing/evaluating health policies by integrating medical, pharmaceutical, health-related knowledge and social science principles
- Learn the concepts and values of health policies and critically analyze the content, context, and process of policies from the perspective of political actors.
- Analysis of the structure and mechanisms of health inequality and researching the public health care system

Major in Health Organization and Risk Communication
- Research on health, health governance, and management issues based on organizations and theories of organization behavior

Major in Global Health
- Analyzes and evaluates global health policies intended to contribute to the reduction of health inequities
- Conducts research on methods for strengthening health systems performance for effective deliveries of health programs in developing countries
- Develops theories and practical methods of priority setting and resource allocation that reflect the cultural and socioeconomic status of each state and the level of cooperative actions in the state
